  • An alumnus wrote, Two friends, Lizzie and Maria, see an abandoned puppy at Al's Truck Stop. The girls read the note with him, "Bandit has a heart disease and we don't have the money to get the surgery". Lizzie's family will foster Bandit until they find a home for him. The girls wondered, who would want a dog with a heart problem? They both wanted to help pay for the surgery, but couldn't agree on a name for their dog walking business, so they worked separately. They realized working together was a lot more fun and easier. Uncle Teo, who is a cross country truck driver, took Bandit to Boston, for the surgery. The surgery was a success; Uncle Teo loved Bandit so much he kept him. Al's restaurant and the girls paid for the surgery together. February 6, 2014.
