  • An alumnus wrote, Hannah 10 Chewy and Chica Lizzie and Charles find out about puppy mills. They are sad that anyone would sell puppies. Mr. Beauregard bought all the puppies and gave them to the shelter that they worked at. Chewy and Chica were the two that didn’t get a crate. So Lizzie and Charles took them to train them. Chewy chewed on everything and Chica peed everywhere. Lizzie and Charles made a bet whoever could find their puppy a forever home first didn’t have to set the table for the whole month. They set up a demonstration to get rid of puppy mills. Mr.Sneed Who sold puppies agreed to not sell puppies. Read the book to find out who wins the bet! March 13, 2014.
  • An alumnus wrote, Chewy and Chica are from a puppy mill. They were bought from this nice, rich man with a lot of other puppies. He brought them to a dog shelter and there weren't enough kennels for all the puppies. Chewy and Chica were left. Charles and Lizzie fostered them. Chewy chewed everything and Chica peed where she wasn’t supposed to. They had a race to see who could find a family first. Meanwhile, they did not like puppy mills and they wanted to stop them. They decide to do a demonstration where all the people agreed to make puppy mills illegal. A man even decided to adopt Chewy and Chica. They both won! February 6, 2014.
