• An alumnus wrote, This book is about four kids named Mongoose, Brenda, Sonsary, and April. There is a different story for each one. Mongoose started out quitting school and doing name graffiti on walls and trees. Brenda watched way too much TV and she couldn’t survive the great TV turn off. Sonsary lived in a car because his uncle lost his job and his mom died. April, well let’s just say she lived on a poop farm. Okay, it was a mushroom farm, but mushrooms grow in poop. Horse poop. Mongoose, Brenda, Sonsary, and April were living their lives, whether they like it or not, and this mysterious blue library card appears to each of them and changes their lives completely. Mongoose starts off stealing, quitting school, and painting his names on signs. Brenda has a habit of watching tv. Souray lost his mom.
