• An alumnus wrote, In this book Glory Be Glory has an older sister Jesslyn. She is dating a new boy in town without Emma their maid knowing. So she lies to get out of the house to go see Robbie. Then Glory hops in the back of his car and hears Robbie’s horrible secret of what happened to him up in California. Glory has a friend named Laura from Ohio. Who drinks out of the wrong fountain. Then the pool gets closed because they are trying to keep the blacks out of the pool. Then Glory’s “used to be friend’ Frankie messes everything up. He steals Laura’s sock and puts it in the pool to make it look like Laura broke in. In the end J.T Frankies mean brother tries to beat up Robbie before the library party for the fourth of July.
